Its diversified businesses include sugar refining and production of special sugar-based products (syrups, caramel); general wholesale through Red Star Wholesalers; bulk haulage through Bluestar Transport; flexible packaging manufacture through Polyfilm Plastics, Highfield Bag and Kabwe Industrial Fabrics Ltd (a Zambian subsidiary), and general engineering through Arthur Garden Engineering and tire re-treading through Marathon Retreads. The food business includes Gold Star Sugars and Country Choice. The wholesale and retail business comprises Red Star, Advance and Spar Western. The packaging business unit includes Polyfilm Plastics and Highfield Bag. Its other businesses include property companies, the engineering businesses of Arthur Garden and Marathon Tyres, and transport business of Blue Star Transport in Zimbabwe and ZSR Transport in South Africa.
