Silicon Integrated Systems Corp. (Taiwan, China)

Founded in 1987, Silicon Integrated Systems Corp. is headquartered in Taiwan and officially launched a public share offering on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in August 1997. The company invested in the establishment of a U.S.-based subsidiary of Silicon Integrated Systems Corporation (SiS) in December 1992 and a HK-based subsidiary of SiS in January 1995. In 2002 it set up the business office in Beijing to enter the mainland market. The company is principally engaged in the research, development, production and distribution of integrated circuits (ICs). The company provides personal computer (PC) chipsets, mobile multimedia controller chips, digital television controller chips, as well as Internet protocol (IP) license and system-on-chip (SoC) integration and design services. Its products are applied in PCs, notebook computers, touch panels, game consoles, liquid crystal display (LCD) high definition (HD) televisions and mobile devices. During the year 2010, the company obtained approximately 100% of its total revenue from IC business. It distributes its products primarily in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
