Shinkong Insurance Co., Ltd. was established on April 26, 1963 as a non-life insurance company in Taiwan. The main shareholders include Shinkong Textile Co., LTD., Shin Kong Life Insurance Co., Ltd., Dongxian Investment Ltd. and Shinkong Industrial Co. Ltd. On May 22, 2000 Shinkong Insurance Co. was listed in the stock market. On February 7, 2006 the company got S&P “BBB+” financial strength rating and the issue of physical credit rating, outlook rating stable. On November 13, it got TRC “twAA-“ the financial strength rating and the issue of physical credit rating, outlook rating positive. In 2006 the revenue exceeded NT$ 10 billion and the car insurance service ranked the second in the market share. Shinkong Insurance Co Ltd has been principally engaged in the provision of property insurance services. The company operates its businesses through fire insurances, including housing fire insurance, housing earthquake insurance, commercial fire insurance and commercial earthquake insurance, among others; transportation insurance, including cargo insurance, ship insurance and aviation insurance, among others; automobile insurance, including automobile damages liability insurance and other insurances; engineering insurance, including boiler insurance, machine insurance and electronic equipment insurance, among others, as well as liability insurance and accident insurance services. The company’s efforts have been recognized, which was conferred with the Insurance Faith Hope and Love Award “Property Insurance Team-The Best Liaison Office (Hsin Chuang)” and the “Most Professional Consultant”.
