Founded in 1990, CReTE Systems, Inc. is engaged in the manufacture and sale of notebook computers. It issued public offering in 2002, began to trade at GreTai Securities Market in 2004. Currently this company is the chief rugged computer manufacturer in the domestic. The major products are rugged NB, rugged PDA, and commercial NB. As to the commercial NB, there are currently 16 retail outlets in Taiwan, mainly located in large shopping mall, such as the T-Zone and Nova selling Asus, Acer HP, IBM and other brands. The main rival in rugged NB area is Getac. The major concern is price-cutting competition.
