DFI Inc. is mainly engaged in the trading and import and export business of electronic components. In 1988 its Hsichih plant was completed and the company launched the first handheld scanner in the world. In 1989 its products also included slide mouse, handheld scanner, personal computer and interface control cards, etc. In 1995 the company issued public stocks and acquired ISO-9001 quality assurance system certification. In 1997 it founded the Houjie plant in Dongguan, China and started to develop SCSI onboard & Dual Pentium CPU board. On January 15, 2000 its shares were traded officially in Taiwan Stock Exchange. At the same year it founded Diamond Flower H.T. Group (BVI) Inc. in the British Virgin Islands. In 2001 it was granted ISO9001 certification again. The company was founded on July 14, 1981.
