China Television Co., Ltd. was founded on September 3, 1968 and formally launched on October 31, 1969 as the first channel broadcast in color television. On September 7, 1996 the company issued public stocks approved by Securities and Futures Commission. On August 9, 1999 the company was listed officially on Taiwan Stock Exchange, the first listed media in Taiwan.
