Unye Cimento was established in 1969 to produce various types of cement. Nowadays the annual production capacity of clinker is 1.5 million tons and 2.6 million tons/year of cement. The company has a seaport and a cement pumping and packing facility used for export and import, located in Rize-Cayeli, Turkey. The company has a TS-EN-ISO 9001:2008 Quality System Certificate, TS-EN-ISO 14001:2005 Environmental Management System Certificate and OHSAS 18001:2008 Management System Certificate. Unye Cimento has a facility in Romania engaged in importing, exporting and selling of cement products as bulk or packed, under the name Unye Cem SRL.
