The company's title Bender Menkul Degerler A.S. has been renamed to Deutshce Securities Menkul Degerler A.S. as of Dec.6, 2006. Bender Menkul Degerler was established in 1994 to serve international institutional investors. The research team started in 1996 and 40% of Bender was acquired by Deutsche Bank AG in 2000.
Following a successful collaboration period after the partnership, the remaining 60% stake was also aquired by Deutsche Bank AG in May 2005. After this acquisition Bender became a full-subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG. Deutsche Securities prioritize the brokerage operations for international institutional investors and became one of the major companies in that field. The rate of international institutional investors in its transaction volume was 76% as of the end of 2006. It ranked 18th among 104 brokerage houses with over 8.2 billion USD transation volume and 1.8% market share. Deutsche Securities has successfully mediates many major initial public offerings and secondary public offerings targeting international institutional investors through its strong ties with foreign institutional clents and additional placements that it can benefit from through Deutsche Bank AG’s international distribution network.
