Carthage Cement Sa (Tunisia)

Carthage Cement Sa is a company located in Tunis Capital, Tunisia. It was founded in 2008 after the split of the company "Les Grandes Carrières du Nord". The company operates in three main activities: exploiting, producing, and marketing aggregates from the Jebel Ressas site, producing and marketing ready-mixed concrete, and manufacturing and marketing hydraulic binders. The Carthage Cement cement plant has a production capacity of 2.2 million tons of cement per year and is situated on 218 hectares near the Jbel Ressas quarry. It also has a production unit for special and ready-to-use concretes. Carthage Cement is listed on the Tunis stock exchange since 2010 and is considered one of the largest projects in Tunisia in the last decade, with a total investment of about 800 Million TND. The company provides 774 direct jobs and contributes to the economic and social development of the Mornag region and the southern suburbs of Tunis. Carthage Cement aims to become a driving force in the cement industry, covering various needs such as energy and packaging.
