Fortum OAO is a Russian subsidiary of the Finnish Energy Corporation Fortum. Fortum is one of the leading producers and suppliers of heat and electricity in the Urals and Western Siberia. The total capacity of the company branches and subsidiaries of the company is at 3241 MW of electricity, the heat - 12 235.5 Gcal / h. Annual production of the company amounts to 16 billion kW/h of electricity and 22 million Gcal of heat energy. As a result of large-scale investment program in electricity the total capacity will be 5146 MW (increase of 2360 MW or 85% compared to 2007). The company currently consists of eight power plants. Five of them are in the Chelyabinsk region, three - in Tyumen. Electricity is supplied to the wholesale market.
