In Romania, ProCredit Bank was founded in May 2002 (first under the name Microfinance Bank MIRO SA). In 2013 ProCredit Holding has successfully completed acquisition of shares ProCredit Bank Romania. Following this process, ProCredit Holding has become the majority shareholder of the bank; International Projekt Consult GmbH (IPC) remained a minority shareholder of the bank.
