Expur SA (Romania)

Expur SA is one of the largest Romanian oil seed processing companies. Expur SA and the soybean crushing factory are formed in 1972 in Urziceni (production capacity: 550 tons per day). Expur is reorganised and registered with the Ialomita county Trade Registry in 1990 and the State Ownership Fund (FPS) becomes its majority shareholder. Later Expur begins biodiesel production and plans to make their first delivery of the finished product. In September 2010, with its acquisition by Saipol, Expur has joined the Sofiproteol group, the French leader in the transformation of oilseeds into food, feed, renewable energies and renewable chemistry. Expur stored seeds in 6 locations in Romania.
