Suempol Sp. z o.o. is a company located in Bielsk Podlaski, Poland. It is the oldest and one of the largest producers of smoked salmon in Poland and worldwide. The company was established in 1989. In 2002, Suempol Deutschland GmbH, a new logistics center, was established in Wismar, Germany. In 2006, Suempol Norge AS was established in Trondheim, Norway, to monitor the raw materials used in production and ensure full control from sourcing to the finished product. In 2010, Suempol acquired 100% of the shares of Norfisk Delikatessen, a smoked salmon processing company based in Berlin. This acquisition allowed Suempol to deliver salmon to Western European markets within 48 hours. In 2013, Suempol acquired 100% of the shares of Marcel-Baey, a production company in Bolougne Sur Mer, France, further strengthening its position in the French and British markets. The acquisition aimed to enhance Suempol's presence in the premium segment and introduce traditional technology to other European markets. In 2019, the company modernized its transportation fleet, enabling better control of products during transportation through constant temperature monitoring inside the vehicles. The new trucks are also more environmentally friendly.
