Empresa Minera los Quenuales S.A. is a poly-metallic mining company in charge of the management of two mining units in the Lima region: Yauliyacu in the district of Chicla and Icaycruz in Pachangara district. The company is a subsidiary of Glencore Finance (Bermuda) Ltd., which owns 97% of the shares. It was established in August 1996 as state-owned company and in October 2002 it became property of Glencore. The Mining Unit Iscaycruz realizes underground mining operations and open pit for the production of zinc concentrates, lead, copper and silver, while the unit Yauliyacu has a concentration plant for the production of copper and silver.
