Banco GNB Peru S.A. is a financial institution that operates since 2006, has 18 branches nationwide (13 in Lima and 5 regional) and more than 800 employees. The Bank started as HSBC Bank Peru S.A. as part of a plan to expand HSBC's presence in the region. Following a review of its overall strategy, in May 2012, HSBC announced the sale of its subsidiaries in Colombia, Peru, Uruguay and Paraguay to Banco GNB Sudameris of Colombia. The GNB Sudameris Bank is an organization that has a history of more than 90 years in the Colombian financial market. Its presence in Peru and Latin America shows its interest in exploring new markets and expanding their operations across the region.
