The principal activities of MITHRIL are investment holding and property investments. The principal activities of the subsidiaries are manufacturing and trading of polyurethane products, property management and investment, investment holding and manufacturing and trading of bricks. MITHRIL is a manufacturer and distributor of bricks via its wholly owned subsidiary, Tajo Bhd. The company also manufactures a wide range of PU mouldings, including plain cornices, carving cornices, corners and frames and wall plaques. They are used for interior and exterior architectural purposes and as decorative ornaments. Besides supplying to contract manufacturers, MITHRIL markets its PU mouldings under its own brand name of 'Gaudi Décor Collection'. To note, MITHRIL has a brick plant at Bukit Kepong, Muar, Johor. This factory has a maximum annual production capacity of 72 mn pieces of bricks. The principal raw material of bricks, clay, is excavated from the company's clay reserves at Bukit Kepong. In addition, MITHRIL also operates two factories in Taiping and Kamunting in Perak, respectively. The combined production capacity at these two factories is 2.5 mn pieces of PU mouldings per annum. Besides the local market, the company's products are exported overseas. In October 2012, Pesona Metro Holdings Berhad acquired Mithril through reverse takeover. As a result, Mithril Berhad was delisted in exchange of the admission of Persona to Bursa Malaysia.
