Grupo Palacio de Hierro S.A.B. de C.V. is a holding company of department stores and boutiques principally engaged in the commercialization of goods and accessories for personal and household use. It was founded in 1891, with a shop in downtown Mexico City, and became part of Grupo Bal in 1963. It has seven stores in the metropolitan area of Mexico, Puebla and Monterrey. The company has a multichannel approach, through a catalogue and electronic shopping in an e-commerce portal. Grupo Palacio de Hierro has been listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange since 1990.
