1977 Following a general strike by oil tankers and the only player in the gas market at the time, The Company was founded by Ahmed Oulhaj Akhannouch and Ahmed Wakrim. The main activity of The Company, from its creation, was the manufacture of air gases and acetylene from two production units based in Berrechid.
1982 The Company expands its range to medical and food gases and creates two new production units: one for nitrous oxide (medical gas) and the other for carbon dioxide (food gas).
1992 The Company launched two trading and specialized service businesses, one in medical equipment and the other in welding equipment.
1994 The Company invests 130 MDH in an oxygen and nitrogen production unit at a new site in Had Soualem.
1998 Maghreb Oxygene invests 9 MDH in a hydrogen production unit at Had Soualem, thus covering all the needs and expectations of the market.
1999 The Company goes public and enters the circle of Moroccan companies aware of modern economic challenges and ready to meet the challenges of an increasingly demanding, organized and transparent market.
1999/2000 The Company obtains ISO 9002 certification for its industrial site in Had Soualem and brings the Berrechid multi-product packaging center and the six manufacturing units it operates into compliance with ISO 9002 standards.
2001 A new organization of The Company is created to cope with a changing market. It is based on a regional deployment of its activities and a redefinition of its concept of activity. The Company decides to diversify its range of welding products for craft professions by creating its own brand of rutile electrodes coated under the label MOXY 350.
2003 The Company expands its range of handcrafted electrodes by becoming the exclusive distributor of ARTIS electrodes.
2004 The development of “on-site” units would allow The Company to strengthen the security of deliveries to its customers in the event of a temporary halt (due to the occurrence of a force majeure) in the activity of a its own production sites.
2005 As part of a long-term contract, The Company set up an On-Site production unit in a steel complex at the port of Jorf Lasfar on behalf of Sonasid.
2008 The Company launches two new product ranges: a range of welding machines labeled Master Weld and a range of abrasive discs MOXYFLEX .
2011 The Company makes a second investment in an On-Site, that of Chellalate, for a total investment of 240 million dirhams.
2013 Obtained FSCC22000 certification.
2017 Obtaining ISO9001 V 2015 certification and opening of MO on the African market.
