Lebanon’s BLC Bank was launched in 1950 to provide commercial, corporate and personal banking services, as well as investment banking. For many years, it has been ownership of Banque du Liban – Lebanon’s Central Bank, enabling BLC Bank to gain stability and sustainable asset base. Since 2007 the majority stake in BLC Bank has been held by Fransabank Group. BLC Bank deals in all kinds of banking products and services, including credit cards, documentary credits, letters of guarantee, microfinance, deposit and insurance products, remittances, and personal, corporate and commercial loans. Its private banking services include equity and bond trading and capital guaranteed products. The bank has 42 local branches. It has two domestic subsidiaries – BLC Invest and BLC Services and one offshore subsidiary – USB Bank PLC - Cyprus.
