Bank Eghtesad Novin, also referred to as EN Bank, is a private Iranian credit institution headquartered in the city of Tehran. EN Bank was licensed by the Central Bank of Iran in 2001. It was established by a group of industrial and investment companies in order to provide flexible financial services to Iran’s private sector. The bank has elaborated its products to serve private customers, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as large-scale corporations. Its portfolio includes retail and commercial banking products. EN Bank subsidiaries provide complementary services, such as securities trading, insurance, foreign exchange and investment banking. The bank’s shares are traded on Tehran Stock Exchange. EN Bank, like all Iranian banks, operate under the principles of Islamic Sharia law, which bans the charge and payment of interest.
