PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia (the Company), previously named PT Asuransi Jayasraya which was established in 1975, is a joint venture company between Tokio Marine Asia Pte., Ltd. and PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia. The Company is engaged in a general insurance business. The Company’s first head office was located at Skyline Building in Jakarta. On May 25, 1990, the Company has started to expand its network by opening its first branch office in Surabaya. In July 1990, the Company changed its name from PT Asuransi Jayasraya to PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia. The Company has further expanded its network by opening 6 more branch offices in Bandung, Medan, Semarang, Makassar, Pekanbaru and Palembang, and 3 representative offices in Batam, Cikarang and Lampung.
