Egyptian Housing and Development Bank was set up in 1979 as an investment and business credit institution. It provides financing principally for the housing and development sector in its two segments – personal and corporate services. The retail segment includes saving accounts and credits for home purchase, travelling and Hajj pilgrimage, term deposits and home remittances. In the corporate segment, the bank finances projects in tourism, housing construction and commercial and services enterprises. The bank was listed on the Stock Exchange in 1983.
