VERTEX, a.s. was established as a state enterprise in 1950. It was later privatised in 1993 and it has been a member of the Saint-Gobain group of companies since 1998. The company's name was changed to Saint-Gobain Vertex, a.s. in 2001 in accordance with the group's strategy of building of an uniform company identity. Since 2011 the company is called SAINT-GOBAIN ADFORS CZ s.r.o. It is engaged in the production of glass fibres. The company runs two production factories in the Czech Republic - in Litomysl and Hodonice.
