Shandong Nanshan Aluminium Co., Ltd. ( formerly known as Longkou Nanshan Industry & Commerce Co., Ltd. ) was established as a joint stock limited company in 1993, on the basis of Longkou Xinhua Wool Spinning Plant, which was set up in 1989. With the approval of China Securities Regulatory Commission, the company's A shares were listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange on Dec. 23, 1999. The company is principally engaged in the manufacture and distribution of aluminum products. The company primarily provides aluminum materials, aluminum profiles, flat section ingots, hot-rolled products, aluminum foils, aluminum oxide products, electrolytic aluminum and cold-rolled products, among others. It also involves in the production and generation of electric power, steam and natural gas. It distributes its products in domestic and oversea markets. As of December 31, 2010, the company had 11 subsidiaries/affiliates, which involved in the manufacture of aluminum products, the distribution of textile products, financial services and aluminum mine development.
