Metrogas S.A. is a company located in Santiago, Chile. It was established in 1997 after the signing of the First Gas Integration Protocol between Chile and Argentina. Metrogas supplies natural gas to thousands of households in Santiago. In 2009, the company participated in the construction of the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in the southern hemisphere, allowing for the importation of LNG from different parts of the world. In 2012, Metrogas made significant progress in distribution through the use of the Mobile LNG system, which enables the transportation of natural gas through virtual pipelines. The company also expanded its residential and commercial segments in the O'Higgins region in 2014 and connected its first customer in the Los Lagos region in 2017, demonstrating the growth of its distribution networks.
