Independencia Administradora General de Fondos S.A. is a company located in Santiago, Chile. It was founded in 1990 as Rentas Inmobiliarias S.A. In 1995, Rentas Inmobiliarias S.A. transformed into the Fondo Rentas. The company offers various investment funds, including a Real Estate Development Fund that participates in housing projects. In 2005, Independencia started investing in commercial real estate in the United States. They also created specialized funds that invest in educational infrastructure and the forestry sector. Independencia has placed multiple real estate development funds for housing projects and established a second forestry investment fund through the Foresta administrator. In 2011, the Fondo Rentas increased its capital by USD 160 million through a stock market placement. The fund's shares began trading on the stock exchange. In 2012, Independencia placed a commercial real estate rental trust in Uruguay for USD 60 million. In 2016, they issued the first corporate bond for a Chilean investment fund, raising USD 85 million. The Fondo Rentas extended its term until 2030 in 2019. Independencia has accumulated over USD 3 billion in commercial assets in Chile, the United States, and Uruguay. In 2021, the Fondo Rentas invested USD 160 million in logistics centers, increasing its stake in Bodenor Flexcenter S.A.
