Empresa Portuaria Arica, is an autonomous state company, which began its activities on April 30, 1998, whose main objective is to promote competition in the sector, decentralize the Port of Chile and open state ports to the private sector. The objective of the company is the administration, exploitation, development and conservation of the Port of Arica, as well as the goods it owns, including the activities inherent to the port area.
