Bihacka Pivovara, which was established in June 1989, is based in the town of Bihac in Bosnia's Muslim-Croat Federation, which together with the Serb Republic makes up post-war Bosnia.
The brewery has an installed capacity of 250,000 hectolitres per year.
It produces two locally famous beer brands, Preminger and Unski Biser, as well as soft drinks and mineral water.
In 2001, managers and employees at the brewery bought it from the state for KM 6.0 million.
In May 2005, the largest single shareholder of Bihacka Pivovara bought out the remaining stake in the company in a deal worth KM 14 million.
Chief executive officer of the company Adem Ibrahimpasic, who previously held 41.7% of the brewery, acquired through a management buyout the remaining 1.4 million shares in the company.
Bihacka Pivovara posted 2003 sales of KM 11.7 million and a net profit of KM 1.8 million.
Its total assets at the end of 2003 stood at KM 31.74 million.
