The Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe (IDBZ) is located in Harare. It was incorporated on August 31, 2005, and took over the assets and liabilities of the former Zimbabwe Development Bank (ZDB). The IDBZ's main purpose is to promote economic development and improve the living standards of Zimbabweans through infrastructure development. This includes sectors such as energy, transport, water and sanitation, information communication technology (ICT), and housing. The bank operates as an infrastructure development finance institution (DFI) and aims to develop institutional capacity in infrastructure development in Zimbabwe.
