The food processing company VITAMIN from Horgos is leading manufacturer of the famous Horgos seasoning pepper. Vitamin has a range of over 100 products, including pepper extract Oleoresin, universal food seasoning Gurman, several tea-mixtures, ice deserts and food additives. The company has annual production capacity of 1,500 tonnes of ground pepper and 50 million filter tea-bags. It also produces seasoning mixtures for over 10,000 tonnes of meat products. The Horgos seasoning pepper has several brands, including spicy ground pepper, red sweet, red hot and crushed hot sausage pepper. Besides seasoning pepper, VITAMIN produces whole range of other spices and food additives, such as pepper, cinnamon, caraway, laurel, baking soda, preserver, lemon acid, oregano, baking powder, vanilla sugar, coconut flour, dried grapes, cocoa powder and others. The annual production capacities enable the company: -to produce 1500 tons of ground pepper -to fill 50 millions filter tea-bags -to pack more then 10 million bags of different products for household use -to produce seasoning mixtures for 10000 tons of meat products -to produce seeds for growing seasoning pepper on 2000 hectares The factory is equipped for drying and processing of the seasoning pepper and other seasoning vegetables, as well as medicinal herbs. It is also the sole producer of seasoning pepper seed in Yugoslavia.
Vitamin Horgos has contracted exports of its popular Horgos seasoning pepper brand to Austria, Germany, the United States and Slovakia by the end of 2003.
