Ponisavlje was founded in Pirot in 1902 under the auspices of Her Majesty and the Queen of Drage with the aim of developing and improving carpentry and preserving old patterns and natural colors.
In 1955, it was reorganized into the Production-Craft Cooperative Ponisavlje-Export . Since 1989, operates as a Company for the production of carpets, rugs and yarns Ponisavlje . In addition to the carpenter, the Company is also a part of the factory and painters.
The Company continued the tradition of making pirot carpets, hand-knitted carpets and woolen yarn.
The Company s share have been listed in Belgrade Stock Exchange under the symbol POPI since May 29, 2006.
The seat of the Company is in Decanska 53, Pirot.
