Every third citizen of former Yugoslavia used to be a client of Postanska Stedionica, whose assets totalled CSD 10.8 billion at end-September 2004 ranking it 11th largest in the country.

In October 2012 Serbia's government decided that Banka Postanska Stedionica will take over the liabilities and deposits of Nova Agrobanka - the legal successor to the delicensed Agrobanka. Agrobanka was placed under receivership in end-2011 after the national central bank estimated that the risk taken by the bank exceeded its capital levels.
In April 2013 Banka Postanska Stedionica took over the deposits and part of the assets and liabilities of another troubled lender, Razvojna Banka Vojvodine A.D.
