Vietnam Electricity Corporation, also known as Vietnam Power Group or EVN, is a one-member limited liability company located in Ha Noi, Vietnam. It was established on October 10, 1994, through the reorganization of units from the Ministry of Energy. The company operates under the Charter attached to Decree No. 14/CP dated January 27, 1995, and is involved in the production, transmission, distribution, and trading of electricity. It also manages the national power system and engages in the import and export of electric power. Additionally, Vietnam Electricity is responsible for investment and capital management in power projects, as well as the operation, repair, maintenance, and upgrading of electrical and mechanical equipment. The company has several subsidiaries, including three power generation corporations (GENCO 1, 2, 3), five power corporations (Northern Power Corporation, Central Power Corporation, Southern Power Corporation, Hanoi Power Corporation, and Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation), and the National Power Transmission Corporation.
