History
1963: Establishment of the town water supply enterprise under the Son La Department of Construction
1965: Renamed Bo Ca Water Plant
In 1984, the Son La Provincial People s Committee decided to invest in upgrading the treatment plant and installing additional transmission pipelines. The project management board was established to renovate the water plant according to the design of the Ministry of Construction, still with the same water treatment technology line, and the pipelines used domestically produced materials. The renovation was completed at the end of 1988, the plant s capacity was increased to 2,400 m3/day.
2000: Conversion into Son La Water Supply Company
On December 2, 2004, the Son La Provincial People s Committee issued Decision No. 4546/QD-UB on converting Son La Water Supply Company into a joint stock company with the actual value of State capital of VND 43,988,605,113. The company officially operated as a joint stock company on April 18, 2005 under the enterprise code 5500154649 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Son La province with the main task of producing and supplying clean water to serve the production and daily life needs of cadres and people in the town and district towns in the whole province.
2005: renamed Son La Water Supply Joint Stock Company
In 2016, the Company s operating area was the inner-city wards and suburban sub-areas along with 10 towns, 04 other towns, with a scale of over 47,000 households, equivalent to 170,000 people (of which 95 of urban residents were supplied with clean water). The output of commercial water reached 10.2 million m3. The current water loss rate is about 15 .
On April 24, 2017, Son La Water Supply Joint Stock Company officially became a public company according to document No. 2175/UBCK-GSDC issued by the State Securities Commission.
Currently, the Company is operating under Business Registration Certificate No. 5500154649 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Son La province for the first time on April 18, 2005, the 6th change on August 9, 2017 with a charter capital of VND 62,096,300,000.
