History:
October 12, 1981: The predecessor was the Petroleum Equipment and Engineering Import Company (PETECHIM) established under Decision No. 1140 BNgT/TCCB of the Ministry of Foreign Trade (now the Ministry of Industry and Trade);
In 1989: Renamed as Petroleum Import-Export Company (PETECHIM);
September 23, 1994: Renamed as Technical Trading and Investment Company (PETEC);
July 30, 2010: Renamed as Technical Trading and Investment Company Limited (PETEC) and became a member of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group;
May 19, 2011: Transformed into Technical Trading and Investment Corporation - Joint Stock Company (PETEC) operating in the form of a joint stock company;
From April 26, 2013, PETEC became a member of PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) after completing the procedures for recognizing PVOIL shareholders based on the share ownership transfer contract No. 2439/HD-DKVN dated April 9, 2013 between PetroVietnam and PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) and document No. 3334/DVN-KH dated April 24, 2013 of PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) requesting recognition of PVOIL s shareholder status.
On January 9, 2017, the Corporation was approved by the State Securities Commission for its public company registration dossier according to Official Dispatch No. 119/UBCK-GSDC.
