INVESTMENT AND CONSTRUCTION JOINT STOCK COMPANY NO. 18, also known as LICOGI 18, is a construction and investment company located in Ha Noi, Vietnam. It was established on May 19, 1961, in Quang Ninh under the name Uong Bi Architecture Company. In January 2006, the company underwent a transformation from a state-owned enterprise to a joint stock company in accordance with the Party and State's enterprise reform policy. LICOGI 18's core activities revolve around construction, investment, sales, and real estate development. Over the past 60 years, the company has played a significant role in the construction of large projects, particularly national key projects. It has undergone several name changes and has grown in capacity, organization, operation scope, ownership mode, technology level, and economic efficiency. The company has received numerous awards and recognition from the State, including two Hero titles (Hero of the Armed Forces and Hero of Labor in the renovation period), two Order of Independence First Class awards, and various Labor Medals and noble awards. LICOGI 18 has successfully completed over 800 construction projects of various scales throughout Vietnam, including politically, economically, and socially significant works with high technical complexity. In recent years, the company has expanded its operations into the investment field, undertaking projects such as the North Han Bridge New Urban Area in Hai Duong, the Thuong Truong New Urban Area in Thai Nguyen, and the Cau Sến Residential Area. Currently, LICOGI 18 operates nationwide with five subsidiaries and one associated company. It has a team of 241 officers, masters, and engineers from various industries, as well as 939 skilled technical workers. The company implements and maintains a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001-2015 standards, ensuring its capacity to construct high-quality works that meet technical and artistic requirements and project timelines.
