Founded in 1898, today Fanapel is one of the largest paper companies in Uruguay. In May 2007, the Group Tapebicua, forest industry group with operations in Argentina and Uruguay, acquired 97.6% of the shares of Fanapel consolidating the development of a regional industrial design, committed to the rational use of resources and protection environment.
