Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito FUCEREP is a cooperative located in Montevideo. It was founded almost 50 years ago by a group of employees from Banco República. The cooperative's main objective is to contribute to the economic and social benefit of its members. In 1974, a small group of colleagues decided to create a fund for mutual aid, providing financial assistance to those in need. Over time, the organization grew and gained legal recognition. FUCEREP's growth exceeded expectations, attracting new members who were interested in the economic and social benefits offered. To adapt to this new situation, the cooperative's administration combined the spirit of solidarity with the incorporation of new services, improving infrastructure and technological equipment. This allowed FUCEREP to open its doors to new members. Currently, FUCEREP operates as a solid Cooperative of Savings and Credit, serving over 20,000 member accounts throughout the country. Its services are available to employees of public and private companies, salaried workers, micro and small businesses. The cooperative continuously invests in technology to improve its services, relying on one of the strongest assets in the Uruguayan cooperative financial system. FUCEREP welcomes all those interested in genuine cooperativism.
