On April 26th 2000, STATS ChipPAC Taiwan Semiconductor Corp. was established. In May, Hsinchu factory was founded along with the completion of equipment set-up. And it started mass productions in June. In July new plant in Cyonglin hold the groundbreaking ceremony. In October, the company passed QS9000 certified. In November, it obtained IECQ certification. In January 2001, it introduced into the ERP system. In April, the new plant Cyonglin was completed. In November, it passed the Taipei Customs Bonded facility audit by the Ministry of Finance. In December, it became the outsourcer of TSMC. In January 2002, it ranked first as an outsourcer of TSMC90 in the fourth quarter. In June 2002, it became a Macronix qualified outsourcer. In October, the company imported TS16949 quality system. In April 2003, IPO was issued. The main business scope includes a variety of integrated circuit design, testing, processing, packaging, trading, information software services and electronic components manufacturing business. At present the provided services are project wafer, IC's testing and Turn-Key Service. Newly successfully developed services are HP93000, MP4 and XBOX Controller testing program, LVDS high-frequency (550MHZ) testing program, USB2.0 high-frequency (480MHZ) testing program, Catalyst DVD-ROM and LCD Controller testing program, and J750 testing program in MC+64K Embedded Flash.
