Viking Tech Corporation was established in 1997. And it is the first domestic thin-film passive components company possessing whole section film process technology, high-frequency passive components and module design and development capabilities. In 2003 operating strategy was adjusted to focus on thin-film high-frequency component production, and disposal of existing silicon-electrical equipments. In March 2008, public offering was issued, and in May 2008 it logged as Emerging Stock. Viking major products are using thin-film process technology, through high-density ceramic substrates and silicon to produce the niche-type passive components of high-frequency, high-precision (Tolerance) and low temperature coefficient. Thin-film passive components are taken as the main products used in automotive electronic components, medical instrumentation and wireless Bluetooth and other products. Major competitors are the Japanese manufacturers such as TDK, AVX, Murata and TaiYuden, etc., but the scale of Viking is still far less than the Japanese factories. R & D strategy focuses on areas of thin-film manufacturing process of high-end passive components, to avoid low-margin low-end passive components of the price competition.
