Founded on December 31, 1992, UBright Optronics Corporation mainly dealt with the manufacture and sale of brightness enhancement film and established production and R&D bases both in Taiwan and the United States. On January 19, 1999 the company issued IPO and on May, 4 1999 the shares were traded in Gretai Securities Market. Wu Dongsheng, Chairman of the Board and general manager, manages the company and legal representatives from Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corporation occupy the other four seats in the board. The biggest shareholder is Shinkong Synthetic Fibers (1409), holding 79.09%, other shareholders are Bori Cor. (holding 4.53%) and Zheng Wushun (holding 1.43%, currently the assistant general manager of Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corporation and board member of UBright Optronics Corporation). UBright Optronics mainly produces brightness enhancement film, an essential component for TFT-LCDs.UBright Optronics has strong Research & Development and production teams researching and developing products and refining the manufacturing process. UBright Optronics is set to enter the stage of mass production and planning to set up a plant rapidly in Taiwan and will be able to go into production next year. UBright Optronics owns ultra-precise cutting、micro-duplicated technology, the formula for the development of UV glue, and optical design skills. Given these technologies, UBright Optronics is set to develop LCD-related Optical products and to maintain its competitive edge while appraoching sustainable management development.
