Sangyang Industry Co., Ltd. was founded in 1954 in Neihu Taipei and listed in 1996, and initially started as a manufacturer of bicycle generator light with only 10 employees in a small old office sized around 100 square meters. The company provides motorcycles, including products of MIO, Tini, RX, GT, GR, RV, Fiddle, Symphony, EURO MX, VS, GTS, HD and Citycom series, among others; automobiles, including products of MATRIX, TUCSON, SATA FE and PORTER series, among others, as well as passenger vehicles, including buses and tourist cars. The company also involves in the provision of military vehicles. The company distributes its products primarily in Taiwan, Europe, the Americas, Africa, Australia, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan and Southeast Asia. In respect of automobile business, SYM strengthens the international brand image of its strategic alliance, HYUNDAI, I and marketing channels, and endeavores to make HYUNDAI become one of the top 3 leading brands in the domestic automobile market. Meanwhile, SYM expects to turn into an important link of the international division of labor for HUYNDAI, Korea. In 1995 its motorcycle products were awarded ISO 9000 & ISO 9001 Certification. VMEP was certificated ISO 9001 in 2003 and certificated ISO 14001 in 2008. In August, 2009 Sanyang Industry acquired the certification of ISO 14064.
