Rexon Ind. Corp. Ltd. was established in 1972 and now is a Taiwan-based international corporation supplying drilling machines and various woodworking machines to the countries around the world. Rexon is the world’s largest bench top/ stationary machinery manufacturer, and is a publicly held company traded on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 1995. Internationalization has been adopted by Rexon at a very early stage. Rexon has set up overseas subsidiaries companies in the U.S.A. and U.K. In 1986 it invested U.S. Power Tools Specialists Inc. (PTS) and also invested in Porfi Heimwerker Maschinen GmbH (PHM). Rexon has also expanded its manufacturing capacities by setting up a second manufacturing base in Hangzhou, China. Rexon is an ISO9001 and ISO 14001 certified company. In 1992 the company received ISO-9002 certification from the European Common Market. The company's major products include drill presses, scroll saws, table saws, miter saws, sanders, band saws, routers and jointers, among others. During 2009, the company obtained approximately 57.23%, 20.33% and 20.23% of its revenue from its commodity, fitness equipment and machine tool businesses, respectively. The company distributes its products mainly to overseas markets, including North America and Europe.
