In 1998 the company passed the UL in the United States and BSI ISO 9902 in UK and upgraded products' competitive capability. In 1999 it prepared the stocks published in the market and Dongguan Gem Electronic & Metal Co., Ltd. obtained ISO 9002 Certificate. In 2000 the company’s stock exchange is agreed to buy and sell in Gretai Securities Market. In 2001 the stock exchange became official in Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation. In 2002 the company invested in Suzhou GEM Opto-Electronics Terminal Co., LTD indirectly Through Genius Terminal Co., Ltd. The company is principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of terminals. The company's terminal products are mainly used for electronic communication, automobile transportation and electrical plugs. It also offers raw materials, ceramic ferrules, bushings and modules. During the year ended December 31, 2009, the company obtained approximately 51.52% of its total revenue from terminals. The company distributes its products in the domestic market and to overseas markets, including the rest of Asia.
