Formosan Rubber Group Inc. was founded on October 25, 1952 and signed the technical agreement with the Nankai Company of Japan in 1976. The company was officially registered with the Taiwan Stock Exchange in December 1991 and was listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange on March 3, 1992. Formosan is principally engaged in project construction, as well as the production and distribution of rubber products. The company operates its businesses through property construction, which involves in the leasing and distribution of residential buildings, commercial buildings, industrial factories and warehouses, as well as industrial production, which provides rubber products, plastic products and insulating products. It also involves in the provision of warehousing services and other businesses. During the year ended December 31, 2010, the company obtained approximately 62% and 19% of its total revenue from construction business and rubber products, respectively. It distributes its products primarily in Asia and North America.
