E-Life Mall Corp. was established in November, 1985 mainly engaged in the distribution and servicing of household electrical goods, audio and video products, telecommunication products, information commodities and related components. Headquartered in Taipei County, Taiwan, the company is engaged in the sale of household electrical goods and electronic goods in Taiwan market. On December 8, 2005 E-Life Mall Corp was officially listed in Taiwan Stock Exchange. In 1986 the company’s turnover increased 2.3 times from NT$ 230 million to NT$ 600 million and its business expanded to diversified kinds of household electrical goods. In July, 1996 the company carried out ISO 9000 international quality certification to provide quality assurance to the customers. In October, 1998 it became the first company to be granted ISO-9002 certification in the industry. Till December, 2000 there had been 13 E-life Mall chain stores in Taiwan. In 2011 and on March 31, 2010 the total number of employees is 1,452 and 1,477 respectively. During the year ended December 31, 2006, the company obtained approximately 45% and 38% of its total revenue from the distribution of household electrical goods and audio-video products, respectively. For the fiscal year ended December 31, 2010, E-life Mall Corporation’s total revenues increased 2% to NT$12.03 billion. The company’s net income for the period increased 10% to NT$431.7 million. Total revenues reflect an increased sale due to stronger market demand. Net income for the period also benefited from increased operating profit margin, increased gross profit margin as well as decreased loss on disposal of fixed assets.
