Established in October 1987, Century Iron and Steel Industrial Co., Ltd. made public offering in July 1997 and was listed officially in October 2007. Its main business includes steel works and the trading of steel structure shares. Among them steel accounted for 2% of annual revenue in 2006, and steel plant 55%, all sold in the domestic market. The ups and downs of iron and steel industry have a close relationship with the downstream the real estate industry and public works. In recent years, pushed by the Government’s Five-year National Development Plan, the demand of steel is increasing greatly. In the next few years there will be a substantial expansion of public works in Taiwan, and the majority of traffic construction need steel and other steel products , the demand would be much higher.
