Isiklar Enerji Ve Yapi Holding A.S. (Turkiye)

Isiklar Enerji Ve Yapi Holding Anonim Sirketi, located in Istanbul, was incorporated in 1982 under the name Metemteks Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. The company initially started its activities in the polyester yarn trade and later became a producer in the polyester yarn sector in 1993. In 2005, the company went public and started trading on the Istanbul Stock Exchange. In 2008, the company decided to focus on energy investments and changed its articles of association accordingly. In 2010, the trade name was changed to Metem Enerji ve Tekstil Sanayi A.S. by adding the word "energy" to it. In 2011, there was a change in the company's majority ownership, and Isiklar Holding A.S., one of Turkey's oldest and leading industrial organizations, became the majority shareholder. In the same year, the company merged with Isiklar Yapi Holding A.S. and Isiklar Yapi Kultur Etkinlikleri ve Yayincilik A.S. through acquisition, increasing its capital to 112,031,689 TL. As a result of this merger, Isiklar Insaat Malzemeleri San. A.S., one of Turkey's leading brick producers, became part of the company. In the same year, the company established a new subsidiary called Metemteks Sentetik Iplik San. ve Tic. A.S., which leased its yarn production facilities. In line with these changes in its activities, the company's general assembly on February 7, 2012, restructured the company as a holding company, and the trade name was changed to Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding A.S. In 2014, the company merged with another holding company of Isiklar Group, Isiklar Yatirim Holding A.S., through acquisition, following a general assembly decision on August 27, 2014. As a result of this merger, the company's capital increased to 286 million TL, and it included important companies of the group such as Isiklar Ambalaj and USAŞ. In 2017, the company merged with its subsidiary Usaş Yatırımlar Holding A.S. through acquisition, increasing its capital to 543 million TL.
