Ipra Enerji Anonim Sirketi, located in Istanbul, is a company that was established in 1961 under the name Eureka Metal A.Ş. It became the first tube filling facility in Turkey, located in Kocaeli Yarımca. The company played a leading role in transforming the LPG industry in Turkey, which was previously released from refinery chimneys, into a large sector. In 1966, Ipra Enerji Anonim Sirketi merged with Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortaklığı (TPAO) and changed its name to İpragaz A.Ş. In 1992, it became a part of the French company Primagaz through privatization. In 1999, with the acquisition of Primagaz by the Dutch-based SHV Energy, Ipra Enerji Anonim Sirketi became a member of the SHV family, which is the world's largest LPG distribution company. Ipra Enerji Anonim Sirketi introduced the first large-scale bulk gas service in 1973 and established Turkey's first licensed autogas station in Bursa in 1996. The company has also introduced many innovations such as special forklift cylinders, Marinegas, LPGPRO, CUTPRO, İZOPRO, and BETOPRO. Ipra Enerji Anonim Sirketi contributes significantly to the Turkish energy sector with its innovative products and the development of new markets, leading the way in the industry.
