Founded in January 8, 1970 and started the production in 1972, Ferro Döküm is one of the leading companies in Turkey’s cast iron sector. With the ability to manufacture pieces for the automative, electrical and machinery and constructional iron industry ranging from 0.300 kg to 55 kg, Ferro Döküm operates from its facilities in Gebze-Kocaeli. With an annual manufacturing capacity of 50.000 tons, 60% of which is nodular iron and 40% of which is gray iron, Ferro Döküm exports 50% of its production, which is aimed primarily at the automotive industry. Ferro Döküm is Turkey’s fourth largest manufacturer and possesses ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001 quality and ISO 14001 environment and Q1 certificates. On June 8, 2007, the Efesan Grup purchased all of the shares of Ferro Döküm Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş., a subsidiary of Türkiye Şişe ve Cam Fabrikaları, for 80.500.000 USD. On June 17, 2007 these shares were officially transferred. With its 40 years of industrial experience and familiarity with the sector, Efesan Grup plans to grow Ferro Döküm quickly with its existing management structure and human resources to achieve even higher goals both in the Turkish and foreign markets.
